Situated in the beautiful East Lothian countryside, our comfortable and cosy Eco Pods and dog-friendly “The Kennels” Cottage are the perfect choice for your UK staycation. There is a minimum booking stay of two nights.
🌅 At Eco Indigo, you are perfectly positioned to take in the spectacular views across rolling countryside towards the sandy beaches of Belhaven Bay and over the sea to Bass Rock and the Isle of May. On a clear winter day, you get a view of the snow covered Cairngorm Mountains. At night you can enjoy the soothing slow blink of lighthouses on the horizon, and on a good night, a spectacular star laden sky.
🏡 We have two luxury pods for adults only situated by an elevated woodland area, offering stunning views by both night and day from the comfort of your bed. Both pods are equipped with a private ensuite shower room, open-plan kitchen and your own barbecue area with chiminea available. Each pod is designed to comfortably accommodate two adults.
🐾 Our dog friendly two bedroom cottage “The Kennels” welcomes families with children of any age, and has been fully modernised whilst maintaining period features throughout. With a bounty of walks and activities on your doorstep, come and explore this beautiful part of Scotland with your four-legged friends. Energy Performance Rating C.

Kennels Cottage (sleeps 4 – families welcome)
The historic Kennels Cottage, dating from the mid-1800s, was built to house the Spott Estate’s dogs. Interestingly, the dogs had central heating whilst the Keepers in the adjacent Cottage did not! We now have underfloor heating, an air source heat pump and water on occasions from our own well.
Kennels Cottage has a master double bedroom with ensuite, a further bedroom (super king or twin) and a family shower room. The open plan dining room with kitchen and lounge area has a wood fired stove to complete your rural stay. The accommodation is dog friendly with the original Victorian dog runs doubling up as south facing courtyard gardens. There are outside ‘pod’ style Kennels in the enclosed gardens. Up to two dogs welcome.
At the back of the property there is a further courtyard with seating, a BBQ and chimenea to keep you cosy.
Bass Rock Pod (sleeps 2 – adults only)
One Bedroom Eco Pod. Sleeps 2 adults.
The larger of our two pods, this pod is perfect for couples. With stunning views out towards Bass Rock and Belhaven Bay on a clear day, this cosy glamping pod is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.
Amenities include:
- King Size bed
- Open plan living
- Ensuite shower room with normal flush toilet
- Dining area with table and chairs
- Hot water and underfloor heating
- Mains electricity with solar backup
- Fresh water on occasions supplied by our natural well.
- Kitchen area with microwave, hob, kitchen equipment
- Fridge with freezer compartment
- Tea, coffee, milk, and selection of condiments.
- All bed linen and towels
- Highland Soap Company toiletries
- Terrestrial TV with Bluetooth compatibility
- No Wifi but generally good 4G signal – weather dependent

Belhaven Bay Pod (sleeps 2 – adults only)
One Bedroom Eco Pod. Sleeps 2 adults.
The smaller of our two pods, this pod is perfect for couples. With stunning views out towards Belhaven Bay and Bass Rock on a clear day, this cosy glamping pod is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.
